Currently, multiple manufacturers offer vibrohammers with a side grip system for steel sheet
piles. These machines are designed to be used on an excavator chassis and do not require a crane
platform.
However, the common weakness of the vibrohammers currently available is that the
vibrohammer’s centrifugal force axis does not coincide with the pile’s central axis.
Which in practice reduces the efficiency of the whole piling process. So, the
vibrohammer’s impact [centrifugal] force is transmitted to the pile body through the
joints of the grip jaws but not directly through the centrifugal force axis. As a
result of the misalignment of the axes of the centrifugal force and pile, the
efficiency of the vibrohammer and the whole work, in general, is reduced.
In developed by us the new VHS-series vibrohammer, the centrifugal force
[impact energy] is transmitted through the vibrohammer’s force axis directly to the
pile without harmful energy loss due to misalignment of the axes of the force and
pile, thus noticeably improving the efficiency of the equipment.
As a result, our vibrohammer has a similar theoretical power output as competitors’
achieves on practice improved efficiency.
