Impact hammer

PHH-series pneumohydraulic impact pile driving hammer with forced acceleration for the piling of concrete piles, steel pipes and modules.
Most impact hammers on the market for concrete and other types of piles utilize hydraulic power for both gravitational and forced acceleration.

These hammers control the lifting and dropping of the impact part using a hydraulic system. To counteract the harmful upward movement of the hammer's frame caused by the forced acceleration of the impact part, manufacturers intentionally add weight to the frame to reduce the impact force during operation.

The hydraulic system of the next-generation PHH-series pneumohydraulic impact hammer that we offer controls only the lifting cycle of the hammer's impact, the forced acceleration of the impact part is achieved just through a pneumatic system.

Using gas for acceleration, as opposed to a hydraulic system, simplifies the design of the hammer, enhances reliability, and decreases the necessity for preemptive maintenance. To neutralize the harmful rising and vibration of the hammer frame caused by the acceleration of the impact part, the PHH-series impact hammer features an automatic brake system. This lightens the weight of the hammer’s frame because eliminates the need for an additional counterweight to compensate for the force of acceleration on the frame.

The PHH-hammer can be manufactured for installation in a piling rig, where a leader guides the hammer and pile with high accuracy, or for free suspended use, where the hammer is lifted on top of the piles by a crawler crane.
